Your device — never our servers
Credit Owl stores everything you enter, including card nicknames, balances, limits, statement dates, preferences, and any optional figures you add for the mortgage-prep tools (such as estimated monthly income and monthly debt payments used for the on-device DTI estimate), on your device using Apple's secure on-device storage. Bank connections are kept in your iCloud Keychain, Apple's encrypted credential store, so a linked bank survives a new phone or reinstall. We do not run user accounts, we do not operate our own database of your information, and we cannot see or access your data.
No analytics, no tracking
Credit Owl does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, or behavioral tracking. We do not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, or photos beyond the single profile picture you optionally choose. We do not sell or share any personal data, because we do not collect it.
What Apple sees
Apple may collect anonymous crash diagnostics and aggregated App Store metrics on our behalf if you have those enabled in iOS. Subscriptions are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; Credit Owl only receives which subscription tier, if any, is currently active. We use RevenueCat to read that entitlement status from Apple on our behalf; we do not send it your cards, balances, or financial figures.
Notifications
If you grant notification permission, reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS. The contents of those notifications never leave your device.
Children
Credit Owl is intended for users 17 and older and is not directed to children under 13.
Your control
You can delete every card, balance entry, financial figure, and preference at any time from Settings → Delete all data — this clears the data from your device and disconnects any linked banks. Deleting the app also removes the data it stored on your device.
